Sea buckthorn fruit oil
The flavonoids present in sea buckthorn are the most important bioactive substances responsible for antioxidant and anticancer effects. They significantly enhance the activity of antioxidant enzymes.
Sea buckthorn may possess the ability to counteract liver damage caused by environmental pollutants and medications.
The polyphenolic compounds in sea buckthorn represent the main group of bioactive substances exhibiting antibacterial and antiviral properties. The oil can be used in both acute and chronic inflammatory conditions of the oral cavity and throat, demonstrating antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and immunostimulatory effects.
Moreover, it shows positive results in treating the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, including oral ulcers and gastric ulcers.
The use of seed oil and aqueous extracts from sea buckthorn leaves significantly impacts the wound healing process by increasing collagen synthesis.
Blackcurrant Seed Oil
Blackcurrant seed oil, which makes up as much as 35% of the AntiOx+ Formula, deserves special attention. It is one of the richest known sources of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and also boasts a high content of omega-3 fatty acids—namely alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and stearidonic acid. Remarkably, it is one of the few plant oils that can rival fish oils in this regard. Additionally, blackcurrant seed oil is among the most vitamin E–rich plant oils. It also contains phytosterols as well as carotenoids, flavonoids, and phenolic acids. Thanks to this unique composition, it exhibits powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it particularly effective in improving the condition of sensitive, dry, flaky, or otherwise compromised skin in need of comprehensive support. Its cosmetic potential is especially promising when it comes to thinning or sparse hair. Research suggests that it may help reduce hair loss and nourish the scalp and follicles. Undoubtedly, due to its unique fatty acid profile and the abundance of biologically active compounds, blackcurrant seed oil should be considered a plant oil of significant health-promoting value.
Wild Rose Seed Oil
Wild rose seed oil makes up 10% of the AntiOx+ Formula. It is composed primarily of essential unsaturated fatty acids and valuable lipophilic antioxidants, particularly γ- and δ-tocopherols, as well as carotenoids such as β-carotene and lycopene—compounds known for their high bioavailability. According to research by Rutkowska et al., wild rose oil, alongside flaxseed oil, ranked among the richest sources of polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids. Moreover, it demonstrated one of the most favorable omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid ratios—again, comparable to flaxseed oil. Wild rose seed oil also stands out for its exceptionally high content of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant polyphenolic compounds. For these reasons, its inclusion in the AntiOx+ Formula was essential.
