Physiotherapy
Bray, Co. Wicklow & Online

At Physio&Wellness Physiotherapy Clinic in Bray, we treat musculoskeletal complaints using effective techniques to achieve your goal. Weather you suffered a new injury or you are struggling with chronic, long term pain, we can help!

We offer you a holistic, whole-body approach. We believe that by giving you the knowledge, body awareness, and training designed for you, we can help you achieve a lasting change, and reach your goals.

Treatment for musculoskeletal conditions may include:

  • Manual therapy / Myofascial release / Massage

We use a variety of 'hands-on' techniques during physiotherapy treatment to lengthen, relax, activate nerves or muscles,  restore mobility in your joints. We often combine different methods of treatment to help your body restore more effective movement, relieve pain, and help you learn new, more optimal ways to move.

Acupuncture, exercises, myofascial release stretches, and movements might be performed during your treatment, and a simple, easy-to-follow home care plan will be discussed.

  • Acupuncture

Acupuncture might be used during your physiotherapy treatment as a part of an integrated approach. It can help manage and reduce pain and inflammation, as well as stimulate your body's natural healing mechanisms. It will help speed up your recovery and might serve as an alternative to chemical pain-relieving medication.
Your body has the ability to 'self-repair', and acupuncture can greatly enhance this process.

  • Hypopressive Technique

Hypopressive is a term that describes a decrease or reduction of pressure. This training system is a series of exercises composed of various poses in positions that combine the use of myofascial chains and neurodynamics and breathing techniques which will enhance posture and decrease intra-abdominal pressure on the pelvic floor and other tissues surrounding the core.

  • Exercises to strengthen weak muscles

Improve posture, strength, body alignment, and mobility. Build up stability and functional core. We choose your exercises depending on your goals.

  • Stretches to reduce tension in tight muscles

Dynamic myofascial release techniques, Pilates-based stretches, and movements to restore tissue extensibility, flexibility, and mobility

  • Advice regarding activities

Starting a new exercise routine or returning to activity after injury or a break?  We help you prepare and progress safely, keeping your body working as a whole, in synergy, thus preventing injuries and strains.

We teach regular Spine, Core & Pelvic Floor Workshops to help you with the basics like breath, posture, and body alignment.

  • Advice on available supports/braces
